Sports activities for vulnerable people

Sports programme for vulnerable people in and around Manchester.

Manchester and Sport?

They go together like bees and honey.

However, now there is a new sporting project set to hit the streets of Manchester to help the most vulnerable.

The suPORT programme brings together the likes of football sessions and boxing sessions.

The programme is led by Dean Ashton who has an MSc in nutrition and exercise science. Dean created the programme after working for 8 years in the field of sport.

This amazing opportunity combining sports and health is made possible by StreetGames, Salvation Army Housing Association and Comic Relief.

Not only are physical activities included in the programme, but fitness and nutrition are also covered by the highly qualified coaches and experts.

The programme takes place from Monday to Friday in a variety of locations around Manchester. It includes the Powerleague, which is a state-of-the-art football pitch in Ardwick.
