Communication is Needed

Phone Charge Points in Greater Manchester.

We’re trying to compile a comprehensive and accessible list of places, (organisations, businesses, shops, faith groups, charities) where people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness can charge their phones. As you know, it’s vital for people to keep in touch at this vulnerable time, (support workers, charities, outreach groups and also just for people to keep in touch with family and friends). Could you please let me know of any organisations or businesses have this facility?  Do you know of any other ‘charger-friendly’ companies, businesses, shops, restaurants, cafes in Greater Manchester that can provide this seemingly small, but actually vital facility?

Once we have this list, we can then add to our ‘Communications’ page here

https://streetsupport.net/find-help/communications/?location=my-location&range=10000

It may seem like a small ‘ask’ but it’s very important for people to be able to keep in touch with their support services, family and friends.

Unused Smartphones and Phone Banks

Do you have any unused or unwanted smartphones and phonebanks kicking around the place? Very much for the same reasons as above. If you could deliver to reception at 111 Piccadilly (M1 2HY literally 2 minutes walk from the station), we’d be most grateful and we’ll make sure they get to the people who need them most. Thanks so much for your help.
