Manchester Action on Street Health

From keeping safe, to managing money, MASH has provided support to female sex workers for 25 years. MASH offer regular drop-in sessions, sexual health clinics, counselling, and sometimes just a friendly face to talk to when its needed most.

 MASH offers help to women:

• Sex working on the streets
• Sex working in saunas or massage parlours
• Sex working independently (as escorts)
• Doing web cam or phone sex work

All MASH services offer free condoms, a needle exchange, safety advice and refreshments.

MASH are small and dedicated team, supported by volunteers and worked with more than 700 women every year. Last year, MASH was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the equivalent of an MBE, which recognises exceptional work done by volunteer groups in their communities. 

 

There are lots of ways you can get involved with MASH. If you want to give your time and meet new people check out our volunteering opportunities and fundraising events.

You could be helping at an awareness raising event at the centre, or abseiling down the Trafford Centre Bell Tower – there’s always plenty to do!
