Manchester Homelessness Strategy

A strategy with a vision to end homelessness in Manchester

One year ago, members of the Manchester Homelessness Partnership developed Manchester’s first co-produced strategy to end all forms of homelessness. It has three main aims:

To make homelessness rare:
Increasing prevention and early intervention
To make homelessness as brief as possible:
Improving temporary accommodation and support services
To make any experiences of homelessness a one-off occurrence:
Increasing access to settled homes

This strategy represents an expansion of the commitments and pledges made through the Manchester Homelessness Charter, demonstrating what we can commit to as a city. Organisations across the city are playing a vital role, working together towards these aims in order to reduce and ultimately end homelessness:
