This document details 5 organisations which are all developing community alongside providing housing for vulnerable people. Whether it’s providing houses alongside an addiction programme as St George’s Crypt do in their Growing Rooms Project; Canopy Housing and Latch detailing their work to enable vulnerable people to renovate houses so they can be lived in by people who have no home; involving vulnerable people in running a furniture store / shop alongside accommodation as they do at Emmaus or developing housing where local communities have a stake in houses as they are built this document gives a variety of examples to demonstrate the importance of building community alongside accommodation.
