The Luton Homeless Partnership wanted to say BIG THANK YOU as we have received over £2298 to the Big Change Luton Campaign and your donations continue to make difference.

One applicant who was street homeless was finding it challenging to secure settled accommodation. Although proactive with looking for help they met with many roadblocks. They applied to the Big change fund  for help with his deposit and rent in advance and was successful. This has assisted them to secure a room in shared accommodation. The application was easy to complete and response very swift.

They explained:

“The rent deposit with Big Change has helped me when other services has let me down. It was quicker than I expected and uncomplicated. Other services makes the process difficult and I had lost out on properties because of the delay in their processes. This stops people from wanting to get help and feels like they are begging. I was feeling so lost and depressed. Now I am relieved to have a place of my own and its one less thing to worry. My children have a place where they can come to visit me.”
