Find a Place of Welcome in Dudley

The Places of Welcome movement has been growing rapidly across the UK including having a presence in over 15 locations in the Dudley local authority area. The settings for the Place of Welcome are often already established community centres, coffee mornings, libraries etc that have chosen to become part of the network.

A Place of Welcome is a community space that offers a warm, friendly environment where anyone can go for a cup of tea, a chat, and a sense of belonging. It’s a place where people can connect with others, reduce isolation, and feel welcomed regardless of their circumstances.

A Place of Welcome can make a significant difference to someone experiencing homelessness by:

  • Providing a sense of belonging: Offering a warm, welcoming environment where individuals feel accepted and valued.
  • Reducing isolation: Creating opportunities for social interaction and connection with others.
  • Offering practical support: Providing access to essential resources like hot drinks, food, and information about services.
  • Improving mental health: Creating a safe space to relax, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety.
  • Building confidence: Helping individuals to rebuild their self-esteem and feel more empowered.

If you are someone who would be interested in attending a Place of Welcome for company, and conversation, then you do not need to book, or bring anything, just turn up and you will be warmly greeted.
