Change Into Action – Donate now to help this winter

Change into Action is the online giving platform in the West Midlands that supports vulnerable people and can act as an alternative to giving cash to people begging on the streets.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council works in partnership with multiple organisations such as CHADD and Dudley CVS to ensure that the money is used to end street homelessness for more people.

While, comparatively with a bigger city such as Birmingham, there are not a high number of people sleeping rough in Dudley, the partners at Change into Action believe everyone deserves a safe, permanent home. In Dudley, there are services to make sure no one has to sleep outside for a second night.

It can be scary for vulnerable people to get off the streets and into their own home. Dudley Council’s Homelessness Prevention Team works with each person sleeping rough to find a warm, safe place to stay and a long-term home that’s right for them and they are committed to helping individuals with housing, meals, medical care, and building a better future.

You can donate as little as £2 and the money you donate will go directly to helping people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Since Change into Action launched, more than £3,000 has been donated in the borough. This money has been used to supply household items to help people who have slept rough, or been at risk of sleeping rough, to set up their new permanent home once they have been helped by our outreach/homelessness prevention service.  Essential items such as beds and fridges have been provided.

Your donation will make a positive change to the lives of those who are rough sleeping, or who are at risk of sleeping rough. Trusted local organisations will use your donations to provide services and personal items that can really make a difference to someone’s life.

Whatever you choose to donate will make a huge difference
