FoodCycle Chelmsford

FoodCycle is a UK-wide initiative whose vision is to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community.

In their own words, ‘with community dining, week in, week out we feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in our communities; providing delicious meals and great conversation, and using food which would otherwise go to waste.’

So you can actually volunteer in a bunch of locations all across the UK, but we wanted to do a special shout-out today for FoodCycle Chelmsford, who are looking for volunteers to help turn surplus food into tasty meals!

You don’t need any experience, all they ask for is enthusiasm, a desire to help your community and if you can see yourself looking great in a hairnet, that’s a bonus!

There are a few different volunteer roles to choose from that include, cooking, hosting, food surplus collection and communications volunteers.

There is truly something for everybody, everywhere at FoodCycle, so why not give something new a go today?
