Join us for a night sleeping under the stars, to highlight the issues surrounding homelessness throughout Hampshire.
When: Friday 19th October 2018
Where: Guildhall Square, Southampton
The number of rough sleepers across the UK continues to rise and whilst the problem is becoming more visible on our streets, there are also thousands of ‘hidden homeless’ sofa surfing or living in hostels and unsuitable temporary accommodation.
The cycle of homelessness involves much more than putting a roof over someones head – with our service users often dealing with complex issues, including addictions, histories of abuse, mental health, detrimental lifestyles and/or convictions.
If like us, you believe that everyone has the right to a safe, secure home, please join us or support us in this year’s Sleep Out 2018.
Sponsored by Go! Southampton and in collaboration with Southampton City Council, the event runs in two parts – with fantastic food being provided and live bands performing in the first half of the evening, before participants bed down for the night in Guildhall Square in the second half.
We welcome interest from teams as well as individuals, so if your friends, family or colleagues would like to join you; consider registering a team for Sleep Out 2018.
Entrees are free. We ask for individuals to aim for a minimum donation target of £150 per person and for teams, we ask for a minimum target of £1500 per team of ten.
Please note you must be 18 or older to participate in the Sleep Out.
