Council Offices are closed from 5pm on Monday 23 December 2019 and will not re-open until 9am on Thursday 2 January 2020. There will be no one available to answer general queries, phone calls or emails during this time period. If someone you are working with becomes homeless whilst the offices are closed, there is an emergency out of hours number available, as detailed below.
This number will take you through to an advisor who will carry out an assessment over the phone. They may need to make further enquiries before giving advice and assistance. The advisors cannot answer general housing enquiries.
The number to call for the out of hours service is 01344 786543, except during the following time periods: (This service can only be accessed by those who are homeless that night, with nowhere safe to sleep. This number will take you through to an advisor who will carry out an assessment over the phone. They may need to make further enquiries before giving advice and assistance.
