Free training opportunities for Dudley residents
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council Adult and Community Learning service, in partnership with West Midlands Combined Authority have launched three new free Digital Skills training for adult residents in the Dudley locality.
The Adult and Community Learning service provides learning opportunities for adults and families in the Dudley borough. If you want to explore new interests, learn digital skills, improve your health and wellbeing or develop yourself for employment, then ACL offer a range of courses that you can join in 2022
- Essential Digital Skills – qualification entry level 3
This qualification is designed for adults with limited experience of using digital devices and the internet who wish to develop their information technology skills. The course will cover all aspects of basic information technology including how to use devices, creating and editing information, and using email and the internet.
- Search Engines and Online Research – qualification entry level 3
On this free course, you will learn to understand how search engines work and how to search for information safely online. This qualification is designed to help break down barriers which prevent you from progressing to the next level of learning. The course will help to gain confidence in searching for a job and using the internet.
- Digital Skills Taster for Beginners
This is a free course for those with little or no computer experience. Increase your confidence using a computer and learn basic skills such as using a keyboard, sending and receiving emails, and staying safe online. While this course will not provide you with a qualification, it will help you to develop skills which will enable you to progress to the next digital skills course.
